The SportsHub is 4global’s new cloud-based membership management platform. Designed specifically for Sports Federations and National Governing Bodies (NGBs), the SportsHub enables them to better engage with members, more effectively manage and utilise their data and operations while providing increased opportunities to generate higher levels of interest and revenue.
Created and managed by 4global’s Sports Intelligence team, which is also home to the award-winning DataHub platform, the SportsHub connects sports organisations with leading solution partners to help with everything from marketing strategy for member acquisition to becoming a self-sustainable organisation and achieving their strategic vision for the future.
“The SportsHub will provide sports organisations with all their daily Customer Relationship Management (CRM) needs. The ten independent modules, all integrated into a single platform, will help empower them to engage with existing and potential members more efficiently, to reduce operational costs, optimise staff time, diversify revenue streams and make informed business decisions based on evidence-based data and insight,” says Utku Toprakseven, Partner and Director of Sport Intelligence at 4global.
“We already have seven NGBs signed up – England Boxing, British Taekwondo, British Judo, UK Athletics, Welsh Rowing, Scottish Golf and Wales Golf – and a further ten are due to join in the next year. Ultimately, we believe the SportsHub will help to raise the profile of sport to generate a greater level of revenues, influence and interest.”
The SportsHub platform is fully GDPR compliant and works across any device, including mobiles and tablets. NGBs can select the modules needed and integrate them anytime and in any order, only paying for the modules they need. Core modules – Membership Management and Club Management – work to help create a ‘single source of truth’ for all of the NGB’s membership data as well as to manage club and member affiliations efficiently online. Add-on modules include Event Management, Coach Training and Development and Online Shop, which allows users to focus on revenue generation through merchandise sales and affiliations. Customer Feedback Tracker, Contact Management and Member Communications enable NGBs to create customised journeys and increase member engagement.
The SportsHub is already getting stronger.
Gary Henderson, formerly Director of Corporate Services at British Judo, has been appointed by 4global as the SportsHub’s Commercial Director. He will be working closely with NGBs in delivering strategic objectives within the SportsHub ecosystem and maximising returns on their investment. With more than 25 years’ experience in sports at organisations including the RFU and British Judo, Henderson has been responsible for strategic planning, finance, marketing, IT, events, membership and people development. In the last 18 months, he’s led the successful implementation of the SportsHub solution for British Judo together with the development of a new marketing and commercial strategy.
Meanwhile Vicki Sutton will represent the SportsHub in Wales. Sutton has significant experience in sport, having worked as interim General Manager at Welsh Rowing and Business Development Manager at the Welsh Sports Association. In her new role with 4global, she will help Welsh NGBs with their digital transformation through the SportsHub and ensure the new technology is successfully designed, implemented and adopted in line with the organisation’s needs and requirements.
